Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams was clearly frustrated on the sideline during another Raiders loss on Monday night, slamming his helmet down on the bench after being missed when he was once again wide open.
Adams seems like an obvious trade candidate with the deadline being Tuesday at 4:00, and Keith says the Jets should do whatever he can to bring Adams to New York by that time.
“The Jets should do everything in their power to trade for Davante Adams,” Keith said. “Why wouldn’t there be a reunion between Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers?”
The Jets need help at receiver, a position that has been lacking outside of Garrett Wilson (though that can attributed to Zach Wilson’s sub-par quarterback play). Keith says Adams is a perfect fit, and he was sure to make that known after watching Adams be wasted in another Raiders loss on Monday night, before Keith’s show opened.
“Davante Adams runs a double move and be wide open down the sideline. I’m telling you, there was nobody within 10 yards of him. Jimmy Garoppolo overthrows him,” Keith said. “It is so bad that they have Davante Adams, still in his prime, and have no idea how to use him.”
