BT is not diminishing the report that Jets players have “validated belief” that Mecole Hardman leaked game plan information to opponents amid frustration with his lack of a role in Gang Green’s offense.
In fact, if it turns out to be true, BT would want Hardman to be banned from taking another snap in the NFL ever again.
“The NFL needs to launch the most thorough investigation that they’ve ever launched on anybody, going back to Spygate and Calvin Ridley betting,” BT said. “If Mecole Hardman actually leaked the Jets game plan to the Eagles and Chiefs, as several people have corroborated on now, he’s got to be banned for life.”
Sal says it could be “much ado about nothing,” but BT says if there is something there, the discipline has to be swift and profound.
“I would rather somebody bet like Calvin Ridley, bet $10,000 on their team to win,” BT said. “I don’t want that either, but compared to a pro leaking information about what you’re about to do to another team?”
