Jack’s American Pub in Milwaukee held a promo where customers would drink for free any time the Jets and Aaron Rodgers lost.
So, when the former Packers quarterback went down four snaps into his Jets tenure, and was ruled out the rest of the game, customers began excitedly racking up their bar tabs, convinced Zach Wilson couldn’t lead Gang Green to a win against the three-time defending AFC East champion Bills.
Those customers were forced to pay some sizable bar tabs by the time Xavier Gipson returned a punt for a touchdown to win the game for the Jets in overtime.
As captured on CBS 58 News in Milwaukee, Packers fans were stunned looking at the prices they had to pay for their drink orders after racking up hefty tabs, convinced the bar would be picking them up. Instead, the Jets defense, specifically Jordan Whitehead, picked off Josh Allen three times, Garrett Wilson hauled in a circus catch in the end zone, and the Jets stunned Buffalo.
News anchor A.J. Bayatpour was on the scene in a now viral clip capturing the reaction of Packers fans in utter disbelief.
