The Jets are committed to giving Zach Wilson all the protection he needs as he prepares for his rookie season.
According to ESPN, New York is nearing a multi-year deal with veteran offensive tackle Morgan Moses, and while other teams are involved, the Jets are considered the “favorite” to land the 30-year-old.
Moses was released by the Washington Football Team last month after failing to find a trade partner. He was ranked 15th in offensive grade among tackles last season, per Pro Football Focus, and the seven-year veteran would like line up on the right side opposite of Mekhi Becton, replacing George Fant.
A third round pick in 2014, Moses has started all 16 games in each of the last six seasons, but Washington elected to move on after signing Charles Leno Jr. and drafting tackle Samuel Cosmi.
