Robert Saleh told reporters that he understood Breece Hall’s frustration with only getting four carries on Sunday, leading the running back to tweet four football emojis to signify his lack of usage, only to delete the post shortly after.

For Sal, Saleh’s comments were another indication that the head coach isn’t near the disciplinarian that he needs to be in order to command the locker room.

“There is a difference between reading the messages and getting hate, and ignoring or replying to it, and going out there on your own and using it as a platform to openly disrespect your head coach or your coordinator,” Sal said.

“When you are disrespecting me as a head coach, him as a coordinator, your teammate, that is unacceptable. It’s selfish and immature. Don’t do that stuff. There should have been some discipline. I would have benched his ass. Whatever you need to do. And Saleh is like ‘I agree with him. I think he’s right.’ No, dude. You’re not getting it! That’s why I said Rodgers is the alpha male, and Robert Saleh is just along for the ride. Hold somebody accountable!”

Saleh has long been considered a player’s coach, and questions about his ability to be firm and accountable have existed since he took the job. Sal’s concern is that Saleh hasn’t seemed to improve in that area since becoming head coach, and if he doesn’t change his style, he may eventually lose the locker room.
