Sal’s reaction to Mecole Hardman’s explosive Jets comments on The Pivot Podcast was simple, and familiar.

“Same old Jets,” Sal said.

For Sal, nothing Hardman said about the Jets culture, lack of accountability, and lack of trust in the coaching staff came as a surprise, as he had been criticizing the same aspects of the organization all season long after Aaron Rodgers went down and exposed all the warts in the team’s roster construction.

“What Mecole Hardman said…validated everything what we’ve been saying about the Jets,” Sal said. “When you have someone like that who questions how the team is being run…that is an indictment of the head coach.

“Until Woody Johnson realizes he needs a new regime…it is over for Joe Douglas and Robert Saleh and the Jets. They are a laughingstock, and they will continue to be so until something changes.”

Hardman said the Jets clearly didn’t have a response after Rodgers’ Achilles injury, and called out the coaches for not making him more of a part of the offense. Once again, none of this was news to Sal, who says a former player ripping the Jets just seems like status quo.

“The saddest part of this whole thing is that I’m siding with Mecole Hardman, who is a scrub…I’m trusting him more than I am the Jets,” Sal said. “Everything he says is confirming what I believed.

“I think they are just totally inept.”
