Woody Johnson slams report of himself and Robert Saleh getting into 'very heated conversation'

Colleen Wolfe of Around the NFL reported on Wednesday that Robert Saleh and Woody Johnson got into a “very heated conversation” at the NFL Owner’s Meetings this week, to the point where it got “super awkward.”

The report sparked all kinds of speculation around the Jets, given their massively disappointing season in 2023 and Johnson calling it out after the season ended.
But the Jets owner took to X (formerly known as Twitter) on Thursday to emphatically shut down any idea of him and New York’s head coach getting into it for others to see.

“All this nonsense about a heated argument between Coach Saleh and me at the League Meeting is absolutely false,” Johnson said. “It is yet another irresponsible report from NFL Network.  Please disregard.”

Wolfe added “where there’s smoke, there’s fire,” but Johnson says there was not even smoke to be seen.
