Former Yankee and World Series champion Johnny Damon was back on the diamond this week, only for the amateur team, the Savannah Bananas.
The Bananas, well known for their unique flair that they add to baseball games, which includes players dancing on the field or home run derbies to determine home field advantage, welcomed Damon on Wednesday night as the former Yankee was sporting his long hair from his Red Sox days, and after a swing and a miss, he hit a slow roller to third base, and was thrown out at first.

Damon kept the ball, acknowledged the crowd, and left the field, back into retirement.
Damon has been out of the big leagues for more than a decade, and the 49-year-old still flashed his signature lefty stance that he showed for 18 years in the majors when he was at the plate on Wednesday in Florida.
