The Yankees may be dealing with another injury concern as Josh Donaldson left Wednesday’s game after the second inning, when he flew out and came up lame wile rounding first base.
Donaldson appeared to come out of the box fine after he skied a ball to center field, but as he neared first base, he clearly seemed to grimace and pull up as he turned and went back to the dugout.
Isiah Kiner-Falefa replaced the 37-year-old Donaldson at third base.
Donaldson is 2-for-16 with a walk and six strikeouts to begin the year, and does have a home run. He is in the final year of a contract that pays him $27 million this season.
