BT: Yankees might pull off clean sweep of Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Juan Soto, and Cody Bellinger

BT has maintained that Hal Steinbrenner is furious with the Yankees’ miserable 2023 season, and that they will spend big this winter.

As the Winter Meetings approach, BT believes they have to turn back the clock and operate as the Evil Empire to get back to legitimate contention.

“The Yankees need a monster offseason,” BT said. “They need a massive facelift, because they are in the midst of doing something utterly unforgivable, and that’s wasting the prime years of their best pitcher of my lifetime…to me, Gerrit Cole is just that guy. And Aaron Judge, with respect to a healthy Mattingly, and A-Rod, even though he was juiced up, and Jeter, to me, Aaron Judge is the best position player of my lifetime, and they’re wasting their primes.

"The Yankees NEED, they need this. I said it six months ago, I thought Hal was gonna go bonkers, and I’m even more confident that is going to happen. The Yankees are going to get big, big names.”

Which big names? BT sees Juan Soto and Cody Bellinger forming a stacked outfield alongside Judge.

“I think the two would be Soto and Bellinger more than Soto and [Yoshinobu] Yamamoto or Bellinger and Yamamoto,” BT said.

However, less than an hour later, while reacting to a report from SNY’s Andy Martino that the Yanks have been saving No. 18 for Yamamoto, BT took it step further.

“Forget about two of the three,” BT said. “I’m thinking they might get all three! Maybe the old Yankees are gonna show up again.”
