The Yankees missed out on Luis Castillo after he was traded to the Mariners, but the Bombers are reportedly seeking other pitching help, and one of the names on the list includes a familiar New York face.

According to Jon Heyman, the Yanks have Noah Syndergaard on their list of potential pitching upgrades before the trade deadline, behind names like Frankie Montas and Jose Quintana.

Syndergaard, now a public enemy in Queens after his departure from the Mets, was rocked at Yankee Stadium when his Angels visited the Yankees earlier in the season, and with the Halos cratering, the pending free agent is likely going to be on the move before Tuesday’s deadline.

As for who the Yankees could ship out in potential trades, Heyman also reports that the team is shopping Miguel Andujar, currently in Triple-A after reportedly asking Aaron Boone to be traded as the former Rookie of the Year candidate still can’t find a regular role on the big-league roster.
