Oswaldo Cabrera has already become a fan favorite in the Bronx, and he just made another big fan out in left field during game one.
The Yankee rookie, starting in left field for his playoff debut, made a leaping catch at the wall along the third base line in foul ground, crashing into the wall and losing his hat in the stands. After securing the grab, Cabrera had his hat returned by the fan, and Cabrera high-fived the fan before returning to his position.
From his hand-grenade throw acknowledgement to the Bleacher Creatures during roll call to his defensive versatility and hot bat down the stretch of the regular season, Cabrera is quickly showing that he has the makeup to be a beloved contributor among Yankee fans.
