DEARBORN (WWJ) - More than a dozen dogs are looking for new homes after being rescued from an apparent hoarding situation in Dearborn.

The dogs are various ages, and the majority need some veterinary care and grooming.

"We're in the process of evaluating that right now, but they seem to be really sweet. They just need to be cleaned up a little bit," said Cross.

Once the dogs check out, they will be placed for adoption. Donations are also being accepted to help pay for their care.

"We're expecting the animals to probably be ready by Friday, for adoption, some of them," said Cross. "The ages range from 8 weeks to 8 years old."
