2-Year-Old And Child's Mother Hit In Drive-By Shooting In Detroit

(WWJ) A 2-year-old child and her mother are recovering from a shooting on Detroit's West side Monday night.
 
Police say shots rang out near Joy Road and Hubbell avenue at about 10 p.m. whle the woman and child were outside the house. There were eyewitnesses. 
 
That's when two cars drove by and someone inside one of them opened fire -- hitting the 36-year-old mother and grazing the child.
 
They are both in the hospital this morning -- with the mother listed in temporary serious condition while the 2-year-old is stable.
 
An investigation is underway. It's unknown who was the target of the shooting and no suspects have been identified. ​
