ST. LOUIS (WWJ) - Police in mid-Michigan say three kids who were reported missing after skipping school on Thursday have been found safe.
St. Louis Police say 14-year-old Christian Russell, 13-year-old Caytlynn Downs and 12-year-old KC Beard were all located Friday just before noon and are currently being reunited with their families. No further details about their recovery were released.
The teens were reported missing after they left school on foot and never came back.
"They voluntarily left the school. We have information that they have been planning this all week, to skip school and then come back at the end of the day," Police Chief Richard Ramereiz told WWJ's Beth Fisher. "They did not return at the end of the day but there's no indications or anything at this point telling us that they were endangered, they were abducted or forced or anything."
It's not clear what the children were doing while they were missing.
