REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WWJ) -- An investigation is ongoing after a five-year-old girl was found dead inside a Redford Township motel room on Tuesday.
Police officers were called to the Inn America motel in the 14300 block of Telegraph Road, north of Schoolcraft, around 9:30 a.m. on the report of the young girl not breathing.
Redford Township police officers and firefighters attempted to resuscitate the girl with CPR. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

June 26, 2019 Police say the investigation is still active and all people related to the case are accounted for and have been interviewed.
Investigators are still waiting for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Reports say the girl was with her mother's boyfriend and there were no visible signs of trauma.
People had begun placing flowers and stuffed animals outside the motel room where the girl died.
