WYOMING (WWJ/AP) - A 5-year-old west Michigan boy had a craving for McDonald's but his grandmother was sleeping, so he thought police could help him out.
"I figured hey, I'm driving past McDonald's on my way there and I might as well get him something," Patterson told WZZM-TV.
When the officer got to the house, the first thing the boy said to him was, "My grandma's gonna be so mad, can you please go away?"
Patterson said the boy called from a cellphone that was deactivated but could still make emergency calls over WiFi, much to the surprise of his grandmother. He said the incident was a learning experience for both.
