(WWJ) In a scene no parent wants to imagine, a baby was killed inside a pull-behind bike stroller on an evening ride with an adult woman who was either his mother or his aunt.
The woman was critically injured when both were hit by a car in Ypsilanti Wednesday at Lakeview Avenue and Hearthside Drive.
The infant died at the scene while the adult was hospitalized. A 4-year-old child was also at the scene and survived.
Details are not yet known in terms of what caused the driver to strike the bike trailer or whether charges will be issued; An investigation is ongoing.
The driver was arrested at the scene.
