SCIO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WWJ) -- An investigation is underway after a fire broke out at a barn at White Lotus Farms in Scio Township Monday afternoon.
The fire broke out shortly before 5 p.m. and burned for at least two and a half hours. A cause has still not been determined.
The barn appeared to be a total loss.
White Lotus Farms is a local farm that produces bread, cheeses and organic produce and has several live animals on the property.
A representative from the farm told WWJ in an emailed statement that all the animals are accounted for, safe and sheltered.
"We would like to extend a our deepest thanks and appreciation to the men and women from the many fire departments that have been working here for hours," Trinle Tsomo of White Lotus Farns said in a statement.
No injuries were reported.
Fire crews from Scio Township, Ann Arbor, Dexter and Chelsea all responded to the fire.
