DETROIT (WWJ) - Metro Detroiters will likely be kicking off their workweek with a blizzard-like snowstorm.
AccuWeather is predicting a storm Monday that will bring up to six inches of snow with winds that could gust as high as 22 mph.
Oakland County Road Commission spokesperson Craig Bryson said a continuous snowfall will make the commute more of a challenge with limited visibility at times.
"It depends on the duration of the storm and how quickly those six inches fall," he said. "If it's a very intense, heavy snowfall on the roads in a short period of time, that certainly complicates things. If that's the case, there certainly will be periods where it's a slow go."
After the snow, it's going to get bitterly cold. By mid-week, temperatures will struggle to reach zero.
Here's a look at the forecast from the WWJ Weather Team:
Saturday -- Decreasing clouds; frigid. A little snow overnight, accumulating a coating to an inch. High 18. Low 13.
