BLOOMFIELD TWP. (WWJ) - An investigation is ongoing in Bloomfield Township where police say someone tried to pay for burritos with counterfeit cash.
The suspect and an alleged accomplice remain at large following the incident at last Monday evening at the Chipotle restaurant located at 2100 S. Telegraph Road.
According to Bloomfield Township police, the manager told responding officers that when two subjects attempted to purchase food using a counterfeit $50 bill, the cashier determined the $50 bill was phony. The cashier then told the female customer she would be keeping the forged bill, police said, and the woman and her companion left without incident.
The suspect is described as a black female in her late teens early 20s with long black hair. Her accomplice was described as a black male in his early 20s with short black hair, wearing a purple crew neck sweatshirt.
