MADISON HEIGHTS (WWJ) - Authorities say a woman is recovering at the hospital after being involved in a crash in a road construction area in Madison Heights.
The crash happened early Wednesday morning along 13 Mile Road at Elmhurst Drive, between John R and Dequindre roads.

July 31, 2019 Circumstances surrounding the crash weren't immediately clear, though a Jeep and pickup truck were involved.
The condition of the woman who is hospitalized is unknown. The other driver wasn't seriously injured.
It's unclear if road construction in the area played a role in the crash, which remains under investigation.
Both directions of 13 Mile Road were closed between John R and Dequindre while crews were clearing the scene, but has since reopened to traffic.
