(WWJ) A dead body was found Monday in the bathroom of the Old Main Building, a central spot on the campus of Wayne State University.
Cause of death is unknown, but Detroit and Wayne State police are on the scene.
The university later released a statement that said, "Preliminary information indicates that the deceased is a 49-year-old former Wayne State student. Because there are not any obvious signs of trauma or foul play, we do not believe there is a campus safety threat related to the death. Our thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends of the deceased."
A custodian found the body at 7:45 a.m. and alerted authorities.
