
DEARBORN (WWJ) - A Dearborn police cruiser was involved in a rollover crash Wednesday night.
It happened around 8:15 p.m. at Ford and Schaefer roads.
According to police, a Dearborn officer was traveling north on Schaefer Road, responding to assist other officers in an unrelated incident. Reports indicate the officers were arresting a suspect in a crime from earlier in the day.
As the officer was passing through the intersection at Ford Road, his patrol car was struck by another vehicle.
The officer was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 37-year-old Dearborn Heights resident, was not injured.
The incident is still under investigation.
