(WWJ) There's trouble for Detroit doctor Ashok Boinpally, who has been charged with Medicaid fraud for allegedly double dipping in insurance companies' pockets.
He's accused of administering Medicaid funded vaccines to children covered by private insurance -- and then billing those companies.
The shots are made available at no cost to eligible kids through the Vaccines for Children program, which Boinpally has been a part of for a decade.
The Attorney General is seeking nearly $70,000 in restitution. The doctor faces up to four years behind bars.
