DETROIT (WWJ) - Police and family are asking for help to find a Detroit man who disappeared on Father's Day.
Lawrence "Larry" Nimmons was last seen by his sister at around 1:25 a.m. on Sunday, June 16, in the 9000 block of Yellowstone, in the area of Grand River Ave. and Joy Rd. on Detroit's west side.
Nimmons is described as a white male, 61 years old, 5'9'' tall and around 160 lbs. with a bald head.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a Detroit Tigers t-shirt with brown boots, and is likely driving a gray 2003 Ford Explorer with a dent in the rear bumper on the driver's side.
Nimmons is believed in good physical and mental condition, but worried family members say he normally stays at home so this is unusual behavior for him.
A cash reward of up to $2,500 is available through Crime Stoppers for the tips that leads to his location.
Anyone who has seen this missing man or who knows of his whereabouts asked to call the Detroit Police 10th Precinct at 313-596-1040 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 1-800-SPEAK-UP (1-800-773-2587).
