Jonathan Woods, aka Self Made Kash, liked to take photos of himself wearing a gold-plated credit card around his neck on a thick gold chain, flashing stacks of $500 bills, and bragging that he was the GOAT.
But now, the Detroit rapper who hyped his skills in swiping credit card numbers has been indicted for wire fraud.
In the end, his own social media is what brought charges down on him.
"Woods frequently posts pictures and videos on Twitter and Instagram containing large amounts of money, credit cards, and credit ard skimmers to promote his proclivity for credit card fraud." That's written in his federal indictment. Prosecutors say he was also known as the "Swipe goat." In addition to using skimmers to swipe cash from unsuspecting users' credit cards, he would also sell the secrets of success to people who asked for it on social.
He posted photos of himself working at Walmart, though the company is not listed in his indictment.
See his social media posts below, but note they contain strong and offensive language.
Some of the videos racked up upwards of 10,000 views, with lots of praise for people who said they admired his work.
Woods is facing up to 20 years in prison on charges of wire fraud and identity.
