(WWJ) A 37-year-old driver was killed instantly early Monday when the car he was in struck a semi-truck on northbound I-275 near Ann Arbor Rd.
Northbound I-275 at Ford Road in Canton was closed for the entire Monday morning commute.
Police say the victim's next of kin has not been notified so they're not yet revealing his name.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a tractor trailer was parked with its hazard lights activated on the right shoulder of northbound I-275. A car driven by the man from Milford drove off the roadway and struck the rear of the trailer, police said.
The semi driver was not hurt. This crash, which happened at about 2 a.m., is pending further investigation.
