(WWJ) A Westland homeowner had a rude awakening this morning -- as a car came crashing into his house.
The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. along Henry Ruff near Cherry Hill.
How ... or why? The homeowner tells WWJ's Charlie Langton the driver said he was being chased by his "old lady" when the crash occurred.
As a follow up, the driver offered the homeowner $5,000 not to report the accident. When the homeowner refused, the driver, who was covered in blood, took off. Police are looking for him now.
No one in the house was hurt, Langton reported, and restoration crews were boarding up the house.
