BRIGHTON (WWJ) - A busy section of I-96 has reopened after a gravel hauler flipped over and spilled its load all over the freeway.

The accident happened just before 11 a.m. Saturday in the eastbound lanes just past the Kensington Road exit. The freeway was closed until just after 4 p.m.

Circumstances surrounding the crash weren't immediately clear, but it appears the driver lost control of the vehicle, which ended up on its side. Gravel was spilled across all lanes.
