(WWJ) A Pontiac man and Flint-area woman are dead following a crash involving a wrong-way driver on I-69.
The Shiawasee County Sheriff tells WWJ 950 a 75-year old man from Pontiac was headed westbound on I-69 Saturday morning and for some reason he pulled off the road, did a U-turn and started driving the wrong way. Several drivers were able to avoid the wrong-way driver, but he crashed his truck into a car driven by a 41-year old woman from Grand Blanc.
Both drivers died.
Sheriff's Department investigators will try to determine what made the Pontiac man turn around and start going the wrong way.
