Frozen 2 Is Sure To Melt Hearts Everywhere

DETROIT (WWJ) - With the phenomenal success of Frozen, anticipation has been extremely high for Frozen 2.  Families who loved the first film have been waiting years for the sequel and now it's finally here.  So, what everyone wants to know is: is part two as good as the first?  Well, rather than keep everyone waiting, I'm just going to cut to the chase and let you know that, while it isn't as good as the first movie, I still liked it, and I think it's worth seeing.  I'd also like to point out the storyline is kind of complicated and will be hard for some children to understand.  I have to admit that I really had to pay attention because there's a lot of information to take in during this film.

Still, I'm sure it's safe to say that kids who love Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Sven and Kristoff are going to find a lot to like about Frozen 2.  How can I be so sure?  A perfect example is this little girl, who looked to be around eight years old, who was sitting right in front of me at the preview screening.  As soon as the movie ended, she jumped up out of her seat and started dancing, waving her arms and jumping up and down to the music that was playing as the credits rolled.

In Frozen 2, Elsa keeps hearing a voice calling her.  No one else can hear the voice, but because it keeps calling, she wants to find out where it's coming from.  She also sees visions from her past, which also draws her toward the voice.  Anna, who's happy to have Elsa back in Arendelle, doesn't want Elsa to go, but because nothing can keep Elsa from trying to get to the bottom of what's happening, Anna goes along.  So does Kristoff, Sven and, of course, Olaf.

While, as mentioned earlier, I do think there's too much going on in this movie for small children to really understand what's going on, and even some adults, it does have several positive messages, including the importance of friends, family, honesty and not giving up despite the odds that may be stacked against you.

See you at the movies!
