DETROIT (WWJ) - Lots of movie buffs have been waiting for this: the return of the Terminator. Their wait is over as "Terminator: Dark Fate" is now in theaters.
This newest flick, "Terminator: Dark Fate," reunites the franchise's original stars, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton. It picks up where Terminator 2: Judgment Day left off 28 years ago. Hamilton's character, Sarah Connor, changed the future by preventing Judgment Day and saving humanity from destruction. Now, nearly three decades later, a new Terminator arrives on the scene; this time it's a more advanced design than the T-800, known as a Rev-9. The Rev-9 is sent back through time to kill Dani Ramos, a factory worker who lives in Mexico City with her father and her brother.
Grace, a Terminator hunter from the future, comes back to protect Dani from the Rev-9. Sarah also shows up with the same mission in mind.
Dani, having never seen anything like this before in her life, doesn't understand what's going on. But, once she's convinced that her life is on the line, things change -- and quickly. The three end up on the run and from there, it's a non-stop game of cat and mouse.
