WWJ -- It may be the final day of May, but it won't feel like it Friday morning.
The National Weather service issued a Frost Advisory for 17 counties in the northern Lower and eastern Upper Peninsulas from 2 a.m. until 8 a.m. Friday.
The counties impacted by the Frost Advisory include Emmet, Cheboygan, Presque Isle, Antrim, Otsego, Montmorency, Alpena, Kalkaska, Crawford, Oscoda, Wexford, Missaukee, Roscommon, Ogemaw, Chippewa, Mackinac and Charlevoix.
The NWS says temperatures will drop into the low to mid 30s overnight inland from the Great Lakes.
Sensitive vegetation may be damaged or killed if not covered, brought indoors, or otherwise protected from the cold conditions.
A chilly night ahead with some inland areas expected to drop into the low to mid 30s by daybreak Friday. This means a threat of frost. Be sure to cover or bring inside any sensitive outdoor plants before going to bed tonight. pic.twitter.com/bmJ0ekvSvr

Michigan's fruit crop shouldn't be damaged, as temperatures at tree height should stay above freezing.
While temperatures are expected to drop, it won't come close to Michigan's lowest recorded temperature in the month of may -- a brutal 8 degrees.
