Cover Image

Gas prices in Michigan have dropped by 10 cents compared to a week ago, with AAA Michigan reporting the statewide average is now $2.82 a gallon.

That means motorists are paying an average of $42 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline.

Close to home, metro Detroit's average gas price decreased by about 6 cents -- the current average is $2.83 per gallon. That's 3 cents less than this time last year.

The most expensive gas price averages in Michigan were found in Marquette, Ann Arbor, and Benton Harbor. The least expensive were found in Flint, Grand Rapids and Lansing.
