GROSSE POINTE FARMS (WWJ) - A disturbing discovery at a Grosse Pointe Farms home has residents wondering if it belongs to a human or not.
A bone was found in the back yard of a home on Roland Street Monday after a deck was torn down.
Police with K-9 units responded to the scene and recovered the remains. The bone will be examined to determine if its from a human or an animal.
Taara O'Shea, who lives nearby, said the entire incident is "creepy."
"It's very weird. It's not something you expect in your neighborhood or want to look up and see outside your window -- carrying a big bone from your neighbor's yard," O'Shea told WWJ's Charlie Langton.
Other residents are skeptical the bone could belong to a human.
"Oh, it's a dog. Come on," one man said.
An investigation is ongoing.
