Humane Society Rescues 84 Cockatiels From Apartment

The birds were placed in boxes and taken for medical evaluations. They'll be quarantined while officials check for diseases.

UPDATE: Our Humane Officers have seized more than 80 birds from a one-bedroom apartment in Rancho Bernardo. Each bird will be examined by a SDHS veterinarian in our mobile unit on scene, before being brought to our San Diego Campus at 5500 Gaines St. for further examination. pic.twitter.com/dV6N2P56Uk

Police are investigating the man who lives in the apartment.
