DEARBORN (WWJ) - Plans have been finalized for the funeral of former U.S. Rep. John Dingell, who died Thursday at age 92.
Visitation and a funeral mass will both be held in Dearborn and are open to the public.
Visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Avenue
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 22430 Michigan Avenue.
A funeral service will be held in Washington, DC with further details to come. Dingell will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
Dingell, the longest-serving member of Congress in American history and a master of legislative deal-making, died at his home in Dearborn a day after his wife announced he was in hospice care.
