PLYMOUTH (WWJ) - Police say a man accused of dropping his pants and exposing himself at an adult store in Plymouth has been identified.

The incident happened Sunday, March 24, when the man entered the Lover's Lane on Ann Arbor Road and asked to try on some clothing.

"In this particular circumstance it was mesh underwear," Detective Lieutenant Jamie Grabowski told WWJ's Dan Jenkins.

An employee gave the man a garment and directed him to a dressing room, like she would any other customer -- but then things got weird.

"He exited the dressing room and called the female employee over to ask her what she thought of it. And she said, 'You know, whatever makes you comfortable,'" said Grabowski.

The man asked the employee to try on another pair of underwear, so she went to retrieve a second garment. But when she returned, she got an eyeful.

"While she was gone, he then removed the mesh underwear that we was wearing and stood outside of the dressing room, completely exposing himself. So when she approached back, he was naked from the waist down and kind of in all his glory there at that point," said Grabowski. "She handed him the other pair of underwear, told him to get back into the dressing room. He kind of fiddled around a little bit and eventually went back in, came back out and basically exposed himself to her and whoever else was in the store."

Grabowski said the incident was absolutely not an accident or misunderstanding. After watching the store's surveillance video, Grabowski said "it's pretty apparent what he was doing."

The man eventually got dressed, purchased a pair of underwear and left the store. But then he returned a few days later.

"(He was) asking what the name of the female employee was, so that's a little concerning," said Grabowski.

Police had asked for tips to help identify the man, whom they said may be driving a white Lincoln MKX.

Thursday afternoon, police put out an update saying they'd made an ID, but they did not say whether or not the suspect was in custody.
