(WWJ) It started with a peep and ended with a bang.
Police said a deadly chase began after a man was spotted by woman looking into her window near Eastwood and Catalpa in Berkley at about 10 p.m. on Memorial Day.
The woman called police, and reported a stalking complaint.
The suspect got into his car, police spotted him, and he led them on a chase from Berkley into Oak Park and into Southfield along Eleven Mile Road.
At some point in the chase, police said the man tried to make a turn but failed and hit a tree.
The 53-year old was taken to the hospital, but died. The investigation is ongoing.
