(WWJ) A fight inside a Coney Island led to a hit and run death in the parking lot Wednesday morning, police said.
Two men were fighting when the argument spilled outside, into the parking lot of the 8 Mile Grill, on 8 Mile Road near Livernois, early Wednesday morning.
One of the men got into his car and allegedly ran over the other; The 58-year-old victim was dead when emergency workers arrived.
Dave Lampkin, who works at the restaurant, says he knew the victim.
"He was here getting something to eat. He had a little altercation with a guy about his girl," he told WWJ's Charlie Langton, "and that was that."
Police are on the hunt for the driver, who had a woman with him in the vehicle.
The suspect's vehicle is a burgundy 2015 Ford pickup truck.
