WARREN (WWJ) - A man is in stable condition after an early morning fight in Warren ended in gunfire.
The incident unfolded around 3 a.m. Friday at a home on Hupp Street, near 9 Mile and Hoover roads.
"The victim and the shooter, who had some sort of a relationship problem, they got into an altercation. The victim is 30-years-old, he's presently in stable condition," said Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer. "The victim was actually shot in the right buttocks."
The shooter, a 41-year-old man, was taken into custody at the scene.
Dwyer said officers located the weapon used in the shooting during a search of the home.
"We have recovered an AR-15 long gun in the living room as well as some other evidence that will be brought into the Warren Police Department for evidence," he said.
The incident remains under investigation.
