(WWJ) Police are on the scene of what appears to be a shootout inside an illegal after-hours bar on Detroit's east side.
It happened at the Always Open Bar along Chene near I-94.
Seventh Precinct Commander Charles Mahone says the 911 call came in at about 3 a.m. Officer responded to find a man in his 50s shot in the head.
"There were a number of casings found inside the location, and that tells us, of course, that some type of altercation happened and shots were fired, Mahone told WWJ's Charlie Langton
His family was on the scene cooperating with investigators. Police believe the suspect may be driving a black Mercedes.
