(WWJ) Michigan State Police investigating a non-fatal shooting in Inkster that happened overnight at the Parkside Estates Apartments off Henry Ruff, south of Michigan Avenue.
Details are scant, with no suspect and no condition on the victim. But Stephanie Hill, who lives in the apartment complex says there have been a lot of shootings in the area recently.
"I wasn't raised in the projects ... Don't make no sense," she told WWJ's Charlie Langton.
Steve Sea heard the shots after 3 a.m.
"I was asleep, heard the shots, so I woke up," Sea said.
He said he heard the man's girlfriend, the mother of his child, screaming that he was bleeding.
Instead of driving him to a nearby hospital, she waited quite awhile for an ambulance, Sea told Langton.
The victim's shoes were left at the scene.
Police say there are no suspects at this time, the condition of the victim is unknown.
