Some would argue he set himself up for this.
Football legend OJ Simpson posted a picture of himself on social media with a medical mask covering the lower half of his face and asking the question, "Coronavirus? Who's afraid?"
Insert screeching brakes here. Back up the truck, OJ, what exactly should we be afraid of?
He's wearing a track suit and pushing a palate of bottled water, presumably stocking up for a medical apocalypse if the novel coronavirus spreads in the United States to the proportions some believe it will.
But OJ isn't just any scared man in a medical mask. He's a suspected murderer who walked away after the deaths of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman, and was then at the center of one of the trials of the century.
So when he posted the photo, people lost their minds.
They had many questions, like "Was he wearing gloves?" Was he himself scarier than the virus? Is it the same kind of mask the killer wore?
If he's feeling the itch, could he just murder the virus?
At the time his trial ended, OJ said he would spend the remainder of his life "searching for the real killer." No word on how that's going.
