CLIO, Mich. (WWJ) - A Michigan high school gym teacher has been arrested, accused of recording video of a naked teenage girl at a tanning salon.
Genesee County Sheriff Robert Pickell says 32-year-old Jacob Emmendorfer, who works at Davison High School in Davison, was arrested in a room next to the 14-year-old victim at Tropi Tan in Clio on Monday.
"She told us that she was nude, completely undressed, in tanning room nine and she looked up and she saw an iPhone hanging over the cubicle wall," Pickell told WWJ's Beth Fisher. "And she saw it had a light on it, and it had an orange backing to it."
The teen told her mother, who called 911.
Pickell said deputies seized Emmendorfer's computer, three iPads and an iPhone.
Emmendorfer remains in custody on expected charges, which the sheriff said could include manufacturing child porn and surveying an unclothed person.
Davison Community Schools has placed the teacher, also a former football coach, on administrative leave.
Clio is located within Vienna Township, in the Flint metro area.
