YPSILANTI, Mich. (WWJ) -The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office says a 14-year-old girl reporting missing was located in Oakland County.
Authorities on New Year's Day said Alayna Tiair Jackson from the South Lyon area was visiting family in Ypsilanti Township when she left a family member's residence in the 8800 block of Jay Street and failed to return to the location.
Police described Jackson as a bi-racial female, standing about 5-foot-2, 125 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black Easton hooded jacket, black leggings and black and white checkered Vans shoes.
Authorities say Jackson is from the South Lyon aream but also has ties to Westland and Ypsilanti Township.
Issuing the update on the teen's status, authorities said Jackson was found safe, but offered no further details.
