BELLEVILLE, Mich. (WWJ) -- The car of a Superior Township man who was reported missing Tuesday, after missing work for the first time in 30 years, has been located outside a church in Belleville.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff's office confirmed to WWJ Thursday night that the vehicle of Marcus Esper, a white 2013 Buick LaCrosse, had been found.
Authorities did not offer any other details about the investigation.
The Detroit Free Press reported investigators are attempting to get a warrant to search the vehicle.
The sheriff's office said earlier this week Esper had left his Superior Township home on Monday afternoon, heading for a storage facility in Ypsilanti, and did not return. Suspicions arose Tuesday when he did not show up to work.
He is described as approximately 6-foot-1, 235 lbs. with balding brown and gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded University of Michigan jacket, blue Sketchers shoes and an unkown color baseball cap.
Police say Esper has ties to Superior and Ypsilanti Townships but his whereabouts are unknown at this time.
Anyone who has seen Marcus Esper or has any information on his whereabouts is urged to call the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office at (734) 994-2911 or 911.
