(WWJ) An altercation between a driver and a Michigan State Police trooper ended with the trooper pepper spraying the driver as he tried to speed away.
MSP says they're waiting to hear on the next steps from the prosecutor's office.
The incident happened overnight Saturday into Sunday when a trooper attempted to pull someone over for failure to wear a seatbelt. The trooper said he asked the driver to step out of the car and he responded by putting it in gear and attempting to speed away.
The driver kept resisting until the trooper said he was forced to use pepper spray to subdue him.
The guy was arrested and is awaiting a prosecutor's decision on charges.
