4 Arrested, Suspected In ATM Thefts All Over Metro Detroit

FERDALE (WWJ) - Four people are behind bars, suspected of stealing ATMs from businesses all over the metro Detroit area.

According to Canton police, the three men and one woman accused in the case are as follows:

  • Richard Briggs, 52, of Detroit
  • Angelo Parker, 30, of Detroit
  • Antonio Parker, 33, of Warren
  • Anitra Ward, 20, of Hazel Park

All four have been charged in Oakland County with one count of breaking and entering a building with intent, a 10-year felony. In addition, Parker is charged with one count of resisting a obstructing police. 

Briggs, Parker, Parker and Ward were arraigned Wednesday afternoon in 43rd District Court in Ferndale, with bond set at $75,000, 10%, for each.

The foursome was arrested after an "in-depth investigation" involving the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, South Oakland Narcotic Intelligence Consortium, Canton Police Special Operations Group along with Dearborn, Detroit, Ferndale, Livonia and Warren police departments. 

As the investigation continues, Canton police said they will be seeking similar charges against the four suspects in Wayne County.
